Well done to our Junior hurlers, who travelled to Feenagh last Thur to take on Killeedy in the League Semi-Final. It was a bruising encounter that got away from us in the end & we lost by a point on a scoreline of 1-14 to 1-13. Much credit must go to this Junior team who lined out again on Sat in Round 1 of the Championship & won away to Glenroe on a scoreline of 3-10 to 3-09.
The Ladies footballers were also in action last w'end in Croom & lost out to a strong Oola team by 3-14 to 2-04.
Our U21 Hurlers are in action in the first round of the Championship at home to Athlacca next Thur & the Minor Footballers are away in Kilfinnane on Fri evening.
The next outing for our Junior Hurlers is Round 2 of the Championship on Sun next at home to Knockainey & no doubt with the commitment & passion this team is showing another cracking game is in store. We have no lotto results this week due to a Mon evening draw.
It is another proud day for Croom GAA Club next Sun, with three of our players lining out for the Limerick Senior Footballers in the Munster Final against Cork in Páirc Uí Chaoimh. With such experience & talent in both hurling & football currently within the club it will greatly benefit the younger members & teams going forward.
The coaching available is top class & already this season our underage teams have been successful in bringing a range of silverware to the club. Our club is a progressive & proud one & always open to new members, for info contact Ann Sexton our Secretary
